Amber is a native of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and attended Flagler College where she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After graduation, her travels took her further and further West. When she landed on Big Island in 2009, she knew she had found her home. For the first two years she lived on the East side of the island, before planting roots in West Hawaii. She is an avid nature lover and adventure seeker and has explored some of the most remote places on Big Island. She knows the island well and has a deep affinity for Hawaiian history and culture. Amber prides herself in building long lasting relationships and her involvement in the West Hawaii community is a testament to this. She has a natural ability to connect with others, and carefully listens to others around her.
Pursuing a career in real estate seemed natural to Amber – as she enjoys working with people and helping them achieve their dreams. Amber joined LUVA Real Estate in the summer of 2017 after receiving her real estate license. One year after joining LUVA as a Salesperson, Amber added Property Manager to her role, managing over 40 properties in West Hawaii. Her favorite part about working in the real estate industry is that every day is different. She likes how she is continually challenged, learning, and meeting new people all the time.
In her spare time Amber spends time outside with her husband Chef Max Okamura and their son, Nui. You can often find them playing in the ocean, hiking, camping, working in their garden, or cooking.
