Jonika MacdonaldJonika has always had a passion for Real Estate. As a young girl who was raised by a single mom with very little money, she would beg her mom to drive through different neighborhoods so she could look at the different homes. Her favorite thing was to observe the different styles, architecture, and landscaping each homeowner chose. She would imagine the person or family living in the homes and what their lives were like.

When Jonika first moved to Hawai’I in 2010, she lived with a very kind and caring couple for her first six months on island. The husband was a well-known local REALTOR®/Broker/Owner who had recently retired after many years in the business. He would tell Jonika that she had the personality and the spirit for the job. After months of encouragement she finally decided to try it out. To this day, one of her favorite aspects of the job is driving around the different neighborhoods only now she tours these homes!

Jonika now has a very successful career as a Realtor and wears many hats in the industry. She served as the 2019 Chair Person of the West Hawaii Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network, 2019 Co-Chair of the Education Committee, and recently graduated from the Hawaii Association of Realtors Leadership Academy where she was one of 13 Realtors out of thousands statewide to be accepted into the program.

Jonika is a connector at heart. She loves to help others connect with people, places or things that will enrich their lives. Her favorite part of Real Estate is that she can connect her clients with the perfect property for them and also connect them with service providers, beautiful places on the island, and some special island secrets that her clients will benefit from for years to come. It is a profession that brings her great joy and it is easy to see her love for real estate through her enthusiasm, passion, and drive.

As a formerly land locked lady, growing up in Reno and Lake Tahoe, Jonika quickly learned how to love and respect the ocean, island, and all of its beauty. When she is not working her favorite activities are stand up paddle board, snorkeling, gardening, camping, playing scrabble, and throwing clay. Recently, Jonika, her husband, Chris, and young son, Oliver have taken to raising their own chickens which has been an interesting and very different experience for her.
