November is ALL about Kona coffee and cultural and holiday events. If you enjoy coffee AND art, be sure to head up to the artists village of Holualoa for their coffee and art stroll and if you love a good race, register for the 1000% Pure Kona Coffee half marathon. LUVA Real Estate is hosting a food drive with Hawaii Food Basket for the month of November! Hawaii Food Basket is a local organization who provides food assistance to our community, by way of food pantries, supplemental food programs, and group meals. Please consider coming by the LUVA Real Estate offices with donations that go directly to help our local families in need.

Kona Coffee Cultural Festival

WHEN: November 1-10, 2019
For nearly 200 years much has been celebrated, discussed and enjoyed over a cup of Kona’s world famous coffee. Praised for its fine, light and memorable taste, Kona coffee once again takes center stage at the Annual Kona Coffee Cultural Festival. Celebrate the harvest, as Kona coffee farms offer a firsthand look at growing this world-famous crop, the coffee art scene fills with inspiration, and music and dance enrich cultural exchanges. Kona coffee and food events offer tastings, and hands-on cultural events help tell the story of Kona’s rich coffee history. A $3 festival button is required for some events. Holualoa Village Coffee & Art Stroll

Kano Coffee Festival Ho’olaule’a

WHEN: November 9, 2019 9am-4pm
WHERE: Old Airport Beach Park at Maka’eo Pavilion
Enjoy a multi-generational, multi-cultural celebration of all things Kona coffee. Hands-on cultural demonstrations, popular ethnic food booths and trucks, the Festival of Arts & Crafts and all-day live multi-cultural entertainment – Hawaiian, Samoan, Japanese, Filipino, and Korean groups will take the stage! Take in the beautiful lei contest, participate in traditional Hawaiian poi making, ikebana, traditional Japanese calligraphy and visit the heritage display. 100% Pure Kona Coffee Marathon & Half Marathon

WHEN: November 9, 2019 5:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M.
Run the scenic coast of Kailua-Kona, beginning at Coconut Grove Marketplace and heading south on Ali’i Drive. This is the first year for the Marathon distance. 10th Annual Friends of the Library-Waikoloa Region Walk/Run for Literacy

6th Annual Holiday by the Sea Fundraiser

WHEN: November 10, 2019 5 pm-8:30 pm
Dine and dance for a cause at Royal Kona Resort’s annual Holiday By The Sea charity event at the resort’s oceanfront lu’au grounds. A spectacular evening of music, entertainment, and a culinary feast prepared by Executive Chef George Gomes. Arrive early and browse the silent auction offerings while you enjoy a kupuna ensemble of musicians and hula dancers. Then enjoy a local feast while being serenaded by the captivating voices of Kipapa Band, followed by American Idol Finalist Amanda Avila and Band. 13th Annual Tribute to King David Kalakaua

An annual tribute to King David Kalakaua, “The Merrie Monarch.” E Mau Ana Ka Hula, is a celebration of hula, with arts and crafts vendors, ono food and hula presentations from 8am to 3pm, all free. From 6:30-9:30 pm is dinner, dancing and entertainment, “Hali’i Ka Nani, a Memory of the Beautifu Holoku,” showcasing the traditional Hawaiian gown and featuring music and dancing by Ali’i Keana’aina and his halau. Volcano Village Artists Hui Annual Art Studio Tour & Sale

WHEN: November 29 thru December 1, 2018
WHERE: Studios in Volcano Village
Over Thanksgiving weekend the Volcano Village Artists Hui will host their 33rd annual Art Studio Tour & Sale. Visitors are invited to meet the artists in their studios, and see artworks in a wide variety of media. Pottery, hand blown art glass, hand tooled metal, and fiber art as well as photographs, paintings, drawings and prints will be on display and available for purchase. New this year will be demonstrations of art-making at each of the studios on Sunday, December 1st; these will include everything from clay mask and tile techniques and “make & take” earrings, to watercolor painting, metal tooling, hot metal forging, and more. ‘Ohana Christmas Craft Festival
