This month we are spotlighting our favorite southern belle, Gina Alvaro. Gina has been a licensed Realtor with LUVA for four years and prior to that was licensed in Louisiana and North Carolina for a combined nine years. During her time in North Carolina, she was even chosen as one of the top 50 realtors in Western North Carolina! It is easy to feel the warmth and friendliness of her personality from the first moments of meeting Gina and to know her is to love her! Gina grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and her and her husband Jay raised their two sons in New Orleans, LA. In New Orleans she started her own children’s clothing company where she designed, marketed, and made all of the products for 12 years. It was during that time in business that she learned the value of listening to and understanding her clients’ needs. It is a lesson that she carried over to her real estate career, first getting her real estate license in New Orleans, LA in 2005 and later in Asheville, NC. Her favorite part of being a Realtor is meeting new people and getting to know their stories. She has a passion for decorating and helping individuals with their homes, whether it is helping them stage their home for selling or just helping them put some final touches on their decorating. Growing up in the South, the homes have such a distinct architectural style and she always enjoyed being able to tour some of the beautiful homes in New Orleans. The homes in Hawai’i have their own unique coastal vibe, that she says is as beautiful as any place she has been. Gina believes that one of the best perks of being a Realtor is having the opportunity to see some of the most amazing homes.
Gina understands that it is a great responsibility and privilege to be trusted to help people make the largest purchase of their lives. She takes it as a special honor to build relationships and guide clients through the often-emotional process of buying and selling real estate.
When she is not working, she loves woodworking, exercising, coaching her kids sports teams, family beach days and playing music.
