No matter what sport or activity you are looking for on the Big Island, Kona Sports Center will have you covered and it’s our go to spot when we are looking for products for whatever type of adventure we embark on. The shop opened in October 2018 and their mission is to provide local and visiting customers the products, knowledge and inspiration to get outside and play. One thing that we love about Kona Sports Center is that they have many products available for rent as well – so if you are looking for beach chairs, snorkels, boogie boards, bikes, camping supplies, etc.. check out their rental selections online here.

The shop is stocked with a beautiful display of products and brands to prepare you for any adventure. From fishing and diving to biking and camping – we mean it when we say they have you covered! Owner Brad and team also organize event nights where they focus on a category or brand in the shop and offer samples/demos, pupus and drinks, raffle prizes, giveaways, on-site product reps, music, deep discounts and overall a fun social event. They are looking forward to resuming these events in a post COVID world. They also have previously hosted Patagonia night, Camping night, and also hosted the Kona Kohala Chamber – Meet and Greet events.

Brad told us he loves seeing their customers enjoying their outdoor experiences, accomplishing fitness goals, and having fun while being active. He also said that “Covid was a great opportunity for people to discover our shop, which was also a catalyst to their sports and hobbies; and in some cases, a way of feeding themselves and their families. The compliments we receive daily about our shop and how our service makes people feel is what makes coming to work easy and fun for all of us.”
